The Dams Hides have re-opened, but with social distancing measures in place. Please respect the guidelines. If people are waiting to go in, please be courteous and allow everyone to have a look.

We are sad to report the death of long-standing member David Williams. David was involved in many early FBOG’s projects including Filey Dams and the building of the new seawatching hide on the Brigg. He was a keen birder and Recorder for the group in the 90’s. In 1996 he wrote and published a book
Ringing Week Update
Due to Coronavirus concerns the decision has been made to cancel the 2020 Filey Ringing Demonstrations due to be held in October. We look forward to welcoming you all to the Ringing & Migration Week in 2021.

Peter Dunn
It is with great sadness that we have to report that Peter Dunn, FBOG Chairman, passed away Friday 15th May after a short stay in Saint Catherine’s Hospice in Scarborough. Our thoughts are with his wife Kath and his family at this very sad time.
