The maps below show the Observatory’s recording area and various key birding sites, which include: the freshwater nature reserves of Filey Dams and East Lea; the marsh, grassland and scrub of The Tip (a reclaimed rubbish tip, owned and managed by FBOG); Parish Wood, our woodland reserve; the Country Park (bordered to the north by the Top Scrub, FBOG’s main ringing site); and the seawatch hide on the Brigg.
