On 1st, 836 Starlings, 281 Redwing, 91 Fieldfare 2 Snipe and 32 Lapwing arrived in off sea and west and 12 Whooper Swan and a late Swallow south at Hunmanby Gap. 3 Woodcock west at Hunmanby Gap and 1 Grey Plover and 26 Sanderling on beach. A Ringtail Hen Harrier south past Brigg end. 20 Purple Sandpiper, 6 Turnstone, 2 Rock Pipit, 1 Redshank, 1 Curlew, steady stream of Blackbirds in off, 2 Fieldfare, 1 Song Thrush were also present. A Great Northern Diver was off Bullnose.

On 2nd, 21 Whooper Swan southwest at Hunmanby Gap inc 11 juveniles. A Great White Egret south at Hunmanby Gap. Four Snow Buntings on Carr Naze.  A good variety at Hunmanby Gap in the morning, headlined by 235 Chaffinch and 278 Siskin south. About 100 Curlew in field from screen at East Lea.

On 4th, two Egyptian Geese on the Dams East pool.

On 6th, Shelduck, Shoveler 9, Wigeon 2, Grey Wag, Cetti’s Warbler, Chiffchaff & small flock of Siskins at the Dams. East Lea:  Snipe 1, Redshank 1, Wigeon 2 & singing Chiffchaff by gate. A Ring Ouzel reported Long Lane on bird guides, with Dusky Warbler, 3 Yellow-browed Warblers and 2 Ring Ouzel in the Country Park mid-afternoon also per bird guides, a mini-fall missed by nearly everyone.

On 7th, 200 blackbirds in the top fields/c park, 1 Woodcock, 11 Golden Plover south. A ringed Willow Warbler still in Top scrub by pond. 154 Siskin, 63 Chaffinch, 2 Snow Bunting past Hunmanby Gap in the morning. A Water Rail on new scrape at East Lea Another Water Rail calling at Hunmanby Gap and 2 Whooper Swans south (07:15) on 8th. A Brent Goose was on Brigg End. 11 Snipe and 15 Yellowhammer at The Gap. A 2nd winter Lesser Black-backed Gull seen on water from Dams car park hide.

On 11th, 20 Whooper Swan flew over. 50 Sanderling off yacht club.

On 12th, three male Goosander landed on Dams. 7 little gulls and Great Northern Diver off bullnose. A Brambling in Martins Ravine.

On 13th, at Hunmanby Gap 1 Snow Bunting male south, 350 Siskin, 2 Crossbill, 95 Goldfinch south, 2 Corn Bunting singing! and 3 Little Gull feeding inshore with Black headed Gulls and a single Kittiwake.

on 15th, 11 Dark-bellied Brent Geese north then back south, 1 Goosander south from the seafront.

On 16th, 9 more Dark-bellied Brent Geese north past the Seafront. A Firecrest in the top scrub. A Yellow-browed Warbler heard calling in willow scrub in the Low Fields area of Reighton Sands, with a female Blackcap at East Lea. A Red-necked Grebe off end of Carr Naze, close in (until 30th). A male Snow Bunting south over Middle Cliff at Reighton Sands, with 5 Wigeon, 13 Moorhen, 4 Lapwing, Woodcock, 2 Buzzard, 2 Great Spotted Woodpecker, 170 Rook, 3 Coal Tit, 30 Long-tailed Tit, 3 Chiffchaff, 2 Blackcap (both males), 24 Goldcrest, 34 Blackbird, 11 Robin, Stonechat, 2 Grey Wagtail, Redpoll & 3 Siskin.

On 17th, 180 Teal, Shelduck 1, Gadwall pr. E Lea: 10 Teal & a Redshank. A Blackcap in a Hun Gap garden. Three Little Gulls off the paddling pool. A female Goldeneye on the bay side of Brigg.  A Woodcock flushed from side steps Carr Naze. Peregrine over Carr Naze.

On 19th, a Little Auk close along seafront surf, north. On 21st 200 Guillemot on Carr Naze cliffs. 3 Red-throated Diver seaward side, 1 Great Northern Diver and 2 Male Eider north. 4 Common Scoter in Bay.

On 22nd, two Waxwing in off and west at Hunmanby Gap, and 55 Pink-Footed Geese south over the town early afternoon. On 23rd a Black Redstart on house roof at start of Gap Road Hunmanby Gap. A Willow Tit by path between The Bay and Hunmanby Gap.

On 25th, 7 Snow Bunting on Carr Naze. A single 1st. winter Little Gull off the Brigg end.

On 28th, a Glossy Ibis south at the Gap c500m inland. On 30th a Snipe and two Sparrowhawk at East pool Filey Dams.
