eBird is used by some members to record species at Filey. For those that like to keep a site list or any other bird list in fact, it is very useful. Until now it was not easy to extract records for the annual Report, but Oli Metcalf has kindly offered to do this for us, using an algorithm he has devised. So now either Birdtrack, Trektellen or eBird can be used to enter records, without needing to duplicate your recording effort.

Filey has been divided into various hotspots, such as Filey Brigg, Filey Dams, Carr Naze , etc. If you have birded at more than one of these hotspots eg Dams and Carr Naze, and not entered them as separate lists, then use “Filey – General” to enter your records. If you have any old lists with more than one hotspot location in them, please move them to Filey – General.

Thanks very much
